Qualification

Participants who successfully complete the program receive the official qualification of the Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Leisure with Major in Management of Tourism Companies and Destinations from the Universitat de Lleida.

The Major in Management of Tourism Companies and Destinations gives an overview of tourism focused on management and leadership, this major enables you to gain a general perspective of the sector and strategic insight into business. It paves the way for a broad range of career prospects in public institutions such as the Tourism Office, as well as in the restaurant, accommodation and airline industries, among others.

The Bachelor Degree in Tourism

WELCOME DAY

At the start of the year, we organize the Welcome Day, a session to help new students settle in, with the aim of:

  • Facilitating the easy integration of the students at our Tourism School, giving them the tools and activities they need to study effectively at Ostelea.
  • Presenting the study program and the School’s team. Explaining the services offered by Ostelea and giving an overview of how the School operates.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AND EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGE

At Ostelea, the curricular internships are a fundamental part of the learning process. They are deigned to enabled students to consolidate and apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course of the academic year.


The internships take place every year and are compulsory. The account for up to 30 ECTS credits over the course of the 4 years of the Bachelor Degree (6 credits each in the first, second and third years, and the remaining 12 credits in the fourth year).


Moreover, the Ostelea community have access to the Employment Exchange, which posts a wide range of exclusive internship and employment offers for its members.

MOBILITY PROGRAM

On Ostelea’s Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Leisure, we recognize the importance of international mobility, which is why one of our key goals is to generate learning through experience and a multicultural environment, giving students access to a diverse range of international and national mobility opportunities.
The mobility program of the Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Leisure starts from the third academic year onwards.

BACHELOR'S THESIS

The Bachelor’s Thesis is an independent, individual project that students have to do under the guidance of a tutor. This projects enables students to demonstrate the knowledge and competencies acquired in relation to the Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Leisure in an integrated way.
There are two possible options for the Bachelor’s Thesis:


a. Research project on a topic related to the content of the Bachelor Degree.


b. Application or evaluation project to examine processes, programs, projects and policies in the fields of tourism and leisure.

ADMISSION PROCESS 

At Ostelea Tourism Management School, the admission process ensures the suitability of the candidates, thereby enabling all of the participants to make the very most of their education programs. 


Steps to follow for admission to the Bachelor Degree in Tourism:

  1. Interview of the student with an advisor from the admissions department
  2. Delivery by the student of the application for admission
  3. Internal admission test
  4. University pre-registration
  5. Enrollment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO ACCESS THE BACHELOR DEGREE

1. Students with the High School Baccalaureate who have passed the University entrance examination (PAU) or equivalent tests.


2. Students with an Advanced Grade Vocational Training qualifications, Higher Technical Diploma in Plastic Arts and Design or in Sports (or equivalent qualification).
Students are required to have a level of English equivalent to of B1/B2 or above.

To access the Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Leisure, students have to complete the pre-registration process via the university access portal. Once they have completed the process, they can consult the result on the same portal.
